Enhancing life for animals in need.
Amigos Animal Rescue - Latest update
On Tuesday, January 28th, 2025 Amigos Animal Rescue carried out its 2nd annual spay and neuter clinic. The clinic successfully castrated and vaccinated 19 dogs and 23 cats as well as provided vaccinations for all. We were also able to treat two dogs who have cancer with chemotherapy and will be providing them with follow up treatments. We cannot thank you all enough for your support, both financially as well as morally. This year went smoother than the last and we are excited at the prospect of providing another free event in 6 months making these clinics into semi annual events. We couldn't be providing these basic and essential services without you.
On behalf of ourselves and our community, THANK YOU.
Supporting education and health for dogs and cats.
Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for animals in Northern Costa Rica through accessible spay and neuter clinics, responsible pet ownership education, and fostering a culture of compassion and respect.
We envision a community where every animal receives the care and attention it deserves leading to healthier and happier lives for both the animals and the people.
Spay and neuter clinics
Many pet owners don’t have the means to get their pets spayed or neutered. The result can be too many babies and much harder lives. Once a year, we host a free spay and neuter clinic which provides the surgery as well as after care.
Community Outreach
Visiting local schools with members of their community to educate children and young adults on how to treat animals with love and care.
Grants for Animals in Need
Our goal is to be able to provide basic healthcare to the animals of this area. We would like to offer vaccines and treatments for common illnesses.
